What to post?

I would love to be active here, but it has been a long time since I've kept a journal and I no longer really know how to do so. I certainly don't know how to keep an "open" one, which this would be, about me as several me's. So, I don't know...
And, so, I'll go with unorganized, random facts!
Cory:
* I am the host, generally am the one fronting, and I make most the out world decisions. I'm an ESL teacher, and currently teaching elementary school aged students. I love talking education, learning, linguistics, and literature.
* I graduated from college *10 years ago* last December. (Jimmeny crickets, I. Am. Old.)
* When I let Journey mostly do the introductions without thinking about them too much, I let him choose "Cory" as my name, because it's a name I've always loved and sounds very gender-neutral, so it is a good central name for all of us to use. It wasn't until several hours later that Nate suddenly began laughing at the name, and I realized it could be a bad joke. And I know it will be now. At least we didn't go with Corey as a spelling.
* In the past, I was almost militantly against thinking about having any sort of relationship ever. Due to having some amazing friends who've shown me through their lives that relationships can work, I am less militant about it, but I still shrug it off.
* I am actually pretty child-like in a lot of ways. I like very few things that could be rated "for teens", and definitely nothing above that in ratings. I am mature and can talk about mature things, but things less than innocent freak me out, especially when they're entirely unnecessary.
* The Incredibles is The Best Movie Ever. The Neverending Story and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder are really close seconds!
* I love, love, love books, but mostly I love books that are geared toward pre-teens. I also love to read nonfiction. But because I do not live in an English speaking country, books are really hard for me to come by.
* I love to get to know people! Please feel free to comment and ask questions! (I am going to try to get others to do random facts too.)

Date: 2017-07-06 12:35 pm (UTC)Ooooh Neverending Story is good! We never had a tape or recording of it growing up so it was a thing we remembered in a sort of halfway sense for a long time.
We also used to watch the Hobbit cartoon which apparently some people were really scared of as kids but we were in love with it, like we loved the book. We're lifelong Tolkien fans I guess.
We liked (and still like) a lot of Disney musicals and things like that. I wholly support 80s family film marathon btw.

Oh, and yay YA fiction! It's not exactly pre-teen, but have you read What's Left of Me?

Journey is trying to convince others to at least give him permission to post intros. He'd definitely be interested in seeing yours. (He says more air for the balloon will help it launch. I am just waiting for the day he makes a post full of his weird sayings that in turn makes no sense to anyone except for us.)
